PRESS BRIEFING BY THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, RIVERS STATE COMMAND, CP JOSEPH G. MUKAN psc (+) ON THE BREATHTAKING ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE COMMAND. DATED 3RD DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2020.
Gentlemen of the Press, let me on behalf of the Officers and Men of the Rivers State Command welcome you to yet another round of Press Briefing.
I have invited you here today, essentially to share some of the Breathtaking Achievements the Command recorded a couple of weeks ago.
- You will no doubt agree with me that since my assumption of duty in the State, I have worked assiduously with my Team to neutralize all criminal activities/elements and stabilized the Command; which is the reason for the fragile peace we enjoy today in Rivers State. This of course is due to largely to the rejigging and re-strategizing mechanisms I put in place that paid off handsomely.
I will continue to do my utmost best to sustain the tempo and assure the Residents of the State of our preparedness to entrench quality policing services that will stand the test of time, especially in the EMBER MONTHS, where criminals may be on the loose.
I want to sound it loud and clear that criminals have no place in Rivers State, as we are poised to match them, fire for fire and no going back.
I have the pleasure to present to you the following Achievements:-
RECOVERY OF A STOLEN CHILD/ATTEMPTED MURDER AND ARREST OF A SERIAL CHILD TRAFFICKER.
